CHANNEL TRANSFER METHOD FOR PACKET TRANSMISSION IN IMT-2000 SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A channel transfer method for packet transmission in an IMT-2000 system is provided to efficiently use radio resources by presenting a radio channel transfer method suitable for various bit rates in packet transmission. CONSTITUTION: In case that three channels, such as a common channel, a dedicated 64Kbps channel and a dedicated 128Kbps channel, are usable for a user, an operator settles each threshold between each channel. In other words, the first threshold(BT1) is settled between the common channel and the dedicated 64Kbps channel. The second threshold(BT2) is settled between the dedicated 64Kbps channel and the dedicated 128Kbps channel. Then the operator obtains the temporal average value(D1) of data exceeding the first threshold(BT1) and the temporal average value(D2) of data exceeding the first threshold(BT2).
