PURPOSE: An error correction apparatus and electronic error correction water meter is provided to maximize useful life of battery cell by detecting flow signal through a selective activation of a low power type low speed sensor and a high power type high speed sensor. CONSTITUTION: A water meter comprises a micro computer for detecting flow signals(d1,d2) by selectively activating a low speed sensor(22) and a high speed sensor(32) in accordance with the pulse generating cycle, incrementing the value of flow variable listed in a non-volatile memory(42) when the number of pulses reaches the number of pulse per liter listed in the variables of a memory, displaying the incremented value onto an LCD module(43), and clearing pulse counting variables; a first switch(21) which is open/closed by a control signal output from the micro computer; the low speed sensor which is activated when the first switch is turned on and detects flow signal; a second switch(31) which is open/closed by the control signal output from the micro computer; the high speed sensor which is activated when the second switch is turned on and detects flow signal; a battery cell(41) for supplying driving voltage to the micro computer; and the LCD module for displaying liter variables of the non-volatile memory and the calculated value of flow.
