PURPOSE: A noncontact heat protector for an exhaust manifold is provided to prevent high temperature of exhaust gas from being transmitted to other parts by restricting contact between the heat protector and the exhaust manifold, and to reduce vibration and noise by shutting off vibration from the exhaust manifold to the heat protector. CONSTITUTION: A heat protector(1) is installed in the lower part of an engine body(2) to surround an exhaust manifold, and spaced from the exhaust manifold with four stays(3a,3b,3c). Ends of stays are mounted in the heat protector by bolts, and free ends are extended out of the heat protector. The upper and left stay is fixed in a cylinder head of the engine body, and the upper and right stay is mounted in a locker cover(2b). The lower and right stay is mounted in a vehicle body(5), and the lower and left stay is fixed in a timing belt case(6). Vibration and noise are reduced with spacing the heat protector from the exhaust manifold with four stays.
