PURPOSE: Cooling structure of a radiation heater for a microwave oven used as a hood is provided to adjust temperature of the radiation heater efficiently without interference with function of the hood by using an additional cooling fan assembly, and to cook food promptly by forming air flow from the radiation heater to a cooking chamber. CONSTITUTION: A cooling system of a radiation heater(30) for a microwave oven is composed of the radiation heater supplying radiant heat to a cooking chamber(22) formed in a cavity(20); a heater chamber(35) installed at the side of the cavity to place the radiation heater; and a cooling fan assembly(37) forming air flow from the heater chamber through the radiation heater to the cooking chamber. A heater cover(32) and the radiation heater are cooled with forming air flow by the cooling fan assembly. Cooling efficiency is improved with blowing directly for the heater cover by the cooling fan assembly. Food is cooked promptly with increasing the temperature of the cooking chamber by air flow from the heater. Temperature of the radiation heater is adjusted efficiently with forming cooling flow and exhaust flow individually.
