VARIABLE PULSE WIDTH AMI METHOD FOR ISI REDUCTION IN DSL TRANSMISSION

PURPOSE: A variable pulse width AMI(Alternate Mark Inversion) method for ISI(InterSymbol Interference) reduction in DSL(Digital Subscriber Line) transmission is provided to achieve inexpensive and long-distance high-speed data transmission by reducing an ISI through a variable pulse width AMI method. CONSTITUTION: As the differential form of a transmission wave form(10) for a DSL integral channel characteristic is generated and transmitted as alternate positive and negative signals, an ISI(14) is not created in a receiving wave form(12). In this case, the DSL channel shows different characteristics according to bit rates and transmission distances. Accordingly, it is possible to correspond to each characteristic by modulating a duty ratio.
