PURPOSE: A suction air bypass valve for an engine is provided to reduce noise in moving suction air from an intercooler to an air cleaner, and to improve responsiveness of the valve by forming the double diaphragm for opening and closing the valve. CONSTITUTION: A bypass valve for an engine is composed of a valve body(30) having a round valve(32) in the end of a shaft(31); a first housing(40) having a first coupling unit(41) inserted to a bypass line, a valve guide(42) guiding movement of the valve shaft, and a spring seat(43) mounting a spring; a second housing(50) having a valve seat(52) contacted to the valve, and a second coupling unit(51) inserted to the bypass line connected to an intercooler; a third housing(60) having a third coupling unit(62) receiving negative pressure from a throttle body, and a fourth coupling unit(63); a fourth housing(70) combined with the second housing; a spring(80) inserted between the spring seat of the first housing and the valve to support the valve body; a first diaphragm(65) inserted between first and third housings, and operated by negative pressure from the third coupling unit; and a second diaphragm(75) inserted between third and fourth housings, and fixed in the end of the shaft by a bolt(76). Noise is reduced with forming the bypass valve in the bypass line between the intercooler and the air cleaner, and responsiveness is improved with forming double diaphragms.
