METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING SYSTEM INFORMATION IN IMT-2000 SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting system information in an IMT-2000 system is provided to automatically set the repetition cycle and location of each SIB(System Information Block) in all SFNs(System Frame Numbers) according to the priority of each SIB, to configure and transmit a system information frame on the basis of the setting, and to vary the transmission repetition frequency according to the importance of system information. CONSTITUTION: Initial variables are declared(S301). The maximum message length for a period of SFN_MAX is calculated(S302). Each SIB_REP is determined by "SIB_REP = 8*2¬n"(S303). The total sum of SIB data sizes is calculated. Then the total sum is compared with "MAX_MSG_TTI*SFN_MAX"(S304). In case that the total sum is larger than "MAX_MSG_TTI*SFN_MAX", Each SIB_REP is increased double every SIB(S305). If the total sum is smaller than "MAX_MSG_TTI*SFN_MAX", MAX_MSG_TTI, the maximum message length that each SFN can send is set as an initial value by "SFN(J) = MAX_MSG_TTI, (0<=J<SFN_MAX)"(S306).
