PURPOSE: Provided is a determinating method of a position of a slit on a detector for a textile straightening machine which is characterized by averaging each position value of the slit and determinating position value of the slit for straightening textile with middle value in bigger total average values than average values among the rest. CONSTITUTION: The textile straightening machine is comprised of: a sensing part(50) which is connected with a device controlling flowing of the textile, sensing a flowing condition and tension of the textile; a detecting part(70) of an angle of the textile outputting a signal about voltage change by transmitting light to the slit; and an electromagnet controlling part(60) which is input signals output from the detecting part(70) and the sensing part(50), outputting a controlling signal to a motor part(80) for straightening the textile. The determinating method of the position of the slit on the detector for the textile straightening machine is as follows: operating average value of each position for proper time(t1-tn) out of voltage signal value input through the slit; operating total slit average value to the average value; and determinating proper middle value in the bigger slit average value than standard value.
