PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND METHOD FOR DRIVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A plasma display panel and a method for driving the same are provided to prevent a mis-writing effect and increase discharge efficiency by generating address discharge between an address electrode, a trigger electrode and the first sustain electrode. CONSTITUTION: The first drive portion(70) is used for driving the first sustain electrode(Sy) the first trigger electrode(Ty). The second drive portion(74) is used for driving the second sustain electrode(Sz). A trigger drive portion(72) is used for driving the second trigger electrode(Tz). An address electrode(X) receives address data from an address drive portion. A barrier rib(76) is formed parallel to the address electrode(X) in order to support an upper substrate and a lower substrate. The first drive portion(70) supplies a scan pulse and a sustain pulse to the first trigger electrode(Ty) and the first sustain electrode(Sy). The second sustain drive portion(74) supplies the sustain pulse to the second sustain electrode(Sz). The trigger drive portion(72) supplies the sustain pulse to the second trigger electrode(Tz).
