The invention concerns a coloured cosmetic and/or dermatological composition, for topical use for skin tanning and/or browning, characterised in that it comprises in a cosmetically acceptable carrier, at least a monocarbonylated or polycarbonylated self-tanning agent, at least cochineal carmine and at least a UV filtering system selected among: (a) a filtering system comprising at least an active organic filter in UV-A and/or UV-B selected among camphor derivatives; triazine derivatives; benzotriazole derivatives; imidazolines; bis-benzoazolyl derivatives; methylene-bis-(hydroxyphenyl benzotriazole) derivatives; benzalmalonate derivatives; filter polymers and filter silicones; alpha -alkylstyrene derived dimers or mixtures thereof; (b) a filtering system consisting of the association of organic UV filters; octocrylene, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate and benzophenone-3. The inventive coloured composition does not discolour in time and exhibits good self-tanning efficiency on the skin (colouring intensity and strength). The invention also concerns the use of said compositions for said cosmetic application.
