The invention relates to a centrifuge comprising a centrifugal drum (1). The aim of the invention is to design a centrifuge in such a way that costly cleaning operations are avoided, or that at least the time required for said operations is significantly reduced and the time intervals between the cleaning operations are increased. To achieve this aim, the invention provides a centrifuge comprising a centrifugal drum (1), which is characterised by a cleaning device in the form of at least one ultrasound generator (5). The cleaning of the centrifugal drum (1), or of parts of said centrifugal drum (1), is significantly improved by ultrasound, fulfilling the aim of avoiding costly cleaning operations consisting of separate cleaning runs or the necessary dismantling of the centrifugal drum (1), or of increasing the time intervals required between cleaning, using simple means. |
