VERTICAL MAGNETIC RECORDING TYPE OF MAGNETIC HEAD

PURPOSE: A vertical magnetic recording type of magnetic head is provided to maintain a bottom pole to be narrower than a top pole, so as to reduce a magnetic field in an edge of the top pole when recording information by the top pole, control the invasion of the bottom pole for adjacent tracks, and implement high density vertical recording. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic head(100) includes a magnetic resistance head(140) regenerating information from a recording medium on a board(101), and an inductive recording head for recording. The magnetic resistance head detects magnetic signals recorded in the recording medium for reading. And the inductive recording head has a top pole(110), a bottom pole(120) and a recording coil(130). The bottom pole is formed on the board. The top pole is located by having a predetermined gap with the bottom pole. The width of the bottom pole is smaller than the width of the top pole. And the width of the bottom pole is smaller than the with of tracks arranged in the recording medium.
