A relative adjustment between an optical disc rotating mechanism and an optical pickup is adjusted by rotating a rotary member (66) against a biasin g force of an engaging projection (79). As the rotary member is rotated, the projection (80) is slid for movement on an inclined surface (70), changing a relative position between the rotary member and a bottom wall of a subsidiar y chassis (31), causing the subsidiary chassis to have a varied inclination relative to a main chassis (30). An adjusted condition is maintained by an engaging force between an engaging groove (68) and the engaging projection (79) biased toward the rotary member.
