PURPOSE: A deflection yoke is provided to suppress generation of vibration and an allophone due to the electric pulse by covering an outer surface of the compensating piece with damping or sound-absorbing materials. CONSTITUTION: A deflection yoke comprises a separator(11), and a compensating piece(20), and a damping unit(21). The separator(11) includes a neck part(12) and a screen part(13), and has deflection coils for deflecting the electron beams in vertical and horizontal direction and one or more mounting groove formed on the outer surface between the neck part and the screen part. The compensating piece(20) is coupled to the mounting groove of the coil separator for barrel-magnetizing a pin magnetic field through the deflection coils. The damping unit(21) is mounted on the compensating piece for reducing an allophone and vibration of the compensating piece due to the electric pulse flowing the deflection coil.
