PURPOSE: A torsion bar for a trunk lid of a vehicle is provided to reduce the production cost by reducing the length of a torsion bar and to offer convenience to a worker for installing a torsion bar. CONSTITUTION: A torsion bar for a trunk lid of a vehicle comprises a first torsion bar(6) having one end fixed on a first hinge(4) fixed on a left rear fender and the other end extended toward a second hinge(5), a second torsion bar(7) having one end fixed on the second hinge fixed on a right rear fender, and a torsion bracket(8) to connect the front ends of the first and second torsion bars and having the upper face in face-to-face contact with the inner face of a trunk lid. The first and second torsion bars are installed by combining one ends of the first and second torsion bars to the first and second hinges, installing the first and second hinges on the inner faces of the left and right rear fender panels, and installing the torsion bracket on the front ends of the first and second torsion bars. Therefore, the first and second torsion bars are installed conveniently.
