A constituent part for a fuel cell leading to reduction of the assembly man-hour and having an electrolyte film prevented from wrinkling, comprising electrodes with catalyst provided on both sides of the electrolyte film and gas diffusion layers for promoting the diffusion of gas provided on both sides of the electrodes, wherein an integral part of the gas diffusion layers made of carbon fibers and impregnated with rubber and gaskets provided to the gas diffusion layers is joined by hot press to an integral part of the electrolyte film and the electrodes with catalyst.
