COMPRESSOR AND COOLING METHOD FOR CONTROL UNIT FOR COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE: To provide a compressor capable of cooling a control unit rationally without increasing the number of parts when integrating the control unit controlling electrical equipment of the compressor with the compressor and cooling them by refrigerant. CONSTITUTION: In the scroll type electric compressor, a unit housing 70 storing an inverter 60 controlling an electric motor is integrally provided on an outer side of a machine body 7. A cylindrical body 63 in which suction refrigerant passes through the unit housing 70, and a switching element 62 which is a high heat generation part among constituent parts of the inverter 60 is attached to outer periphery of the cylindrical body 63 to cool the switching element 62 directly by the suction refrigerant flowing in the cylindrical body 63.
