A method for facilitating commemorative donations, including the steps of: (a) nominating one or more charitable organisations (3) to which donations may be made to commemorate a person, place or event; (b) publishing details (10, 11, 22) of the nominated charitable organisations; (c) accepting donations to one or more of the charitable organisations from one or more donors (2); (d) distributing funds (112) to the nominated charitable organisations to which donations have been made; and (e) publishing an acknowledgment (23) of the person, place or event and the nominated charitable organisations to which donations have been made.
