摘要 PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a low nickel containing 304L Austenitic stainless steel plate is provided which is capable of lowering residual delta ferrite content hindering corrosion resistance of steel to a great extent according to reduction of nickel content. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing a low nickel containing Austenitic stainless steel plate comprises the processes of controlling a stainless steel slab in which contents of nickel and nitrogen are controlled so that delta ferrite content is maintained to 6 to 8% by the following Expression 1; heating and rolling the slab for a certain period of time so that a content of the residual delta ferrite is 2% or less; and annealing the heated and rolled plate so that a content of the residual delta ferrite is 1% or less, wherein contents of the nickel and nitrogen are 8.0 to 9.0 wt.%, and 0.070 to 0.080 wt.% respectively, the slab is heated in the temperature range of 1230 to 1270 deg.C for 210 to 250 minutes, and the rolled plate is annealed in the temperature range of 1060 to 1090 deg.C for 10 to 20 minutes.
