PURPOSE: Provided is an ozone generating apparatus which has a simple structure, can be produced in a simple way at low cost and effectively generate ozone at a high concentration. CONSTITUTION: The ozone generating apparatus is characterized in that an induction electrode(45) is disposed in a case(50) with a gas inlet(41) and outlet(42) formed therein, a dielectric(44) is disposed on the upper surface of the induction electrode(45), a discharging electrode(43) as a fixed insulator is disposed on the dielectric(44) and a high voltage is applied to an outer terminal of the discharging electrode(43). Through the gas inlet, oxygen-containing gas such as air or pure oxygen gas is supplied. As the discharging electrode, an electrode in the form of a micro-piece-shaped or micro-line-shaped mesh is spaced with the upper part of the dielectric substance.
