PURPOSE: A caliper of a disk brake is provided to reduce noise and vibration generated between a guide rod and a guide hole by cutting a portion of an arc of the guide rod. CONSTITUTION: A caliper for a disk brake comprises a caliper housing(10) having a cylinder(11) and a piston(20); a carrier(30) surrounding a side portion of a disk by fixed on a chassis; a pad plates attached to both side ends of the disk through the piston by being arranged on an inner portion of the carrier; pads formed on the pad plates; a guide rod(100) controlling movement of the caliper housing by being installed between the caliper housing and the carrier; a guide hole(110) formed on an end portion of the carrier; a recessed unit(112) formed on and portion of the guide hole; an adapter(120) reducing noise and vibration by contacting the guide hole and the guide rod; and a protrusion unit formed on an arc unit of the adapter.
