AUTOMATIC DOOR CLOSING APPARATUS WITH PNEUMATIC CYLINDER

PURPOSE: An automatic apparatus for closing door is provided to open the door with a little force and close the door when the force applied is stopped by a pneumatic cylinder during returning a stem of the cylinder to its original state. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a pneumatic cylinder secured in a housing(3) onto a framework(2) of a door(1); a rack tooth portion(6) at end of a cylinder stem(5) of the pneumatic cylinder mounted inside the housing(3) to pull the rack tooth portion(6) with pinions(7,8) rotating within the housing(3); and a moving piece(9) coupled to a center of the pinion(8) at its end by a hinge and also coupled to upper end of the door(1) at the other end by another hinge. The stem is supported by a roller to conduct a stable and reciprocal movement.
