PURPOSE: A piston valve for a shock absorber is provided to simplify combining structure by combining a nonlinear coil spring and to improve productivity. CONSTITUTION: A piston valve of a shock absorber comprises a piston body(13) combined to an end portion of a piston rod(2); plural orifices(11,12) mounted on the piston body; a washer(14) installed on an upper portion of the piston body with an intake spring(15); a retainer(16) arranged on the upper portion of the piston body with an intake valve(17); a retainer(30) movably combined to a lower portion of the piston body; a nonlinear coil spring(31) supplying resilient force into reciprocating movement of the retainer; and guiding or supporting member(32) supporting a lower portion of the nonlinear coil spring. Thereby, the piston of the shock absorber simplifies combining structure by substituting a disk spring with the nonlinear coil spring.
