The system and method includes an internet accessible database having telephone entry capabilities. The method includes accessing a data storage system (56) through use of a data communication device (52/91), such as a telephone, via a first connection (68/94, 92, 96). Data regarding a remotely located employee (64) is provided to the data storage system via the first connection. The data storage system can also be accessed through use of a computer (54) via a second connection (70) to view the provided data. The provided data can be monitored via the second connection. Various function can be performed on the provided data via the second connection.
