PURPOSE: Provided is an organic electroluminescent element containing a compound with high brightness used as a red light emitting material of an organic luminescent layer, which can obtain red light of long wavelength and increase luminescent efficiency and minimize concentration quenching. CONSTITUTION: The organic electroluminescent element contains a first electrode, the organic luminescent layer, and a second electrode, wherein the organic luminescent layer contains the compound, as the red light emitting material, containing an adamantane group represented by the formula 1 and additionally the functional group represented by the formula 2. In the formula, X is oxygen or sulfur atom, R1 is malonitrile or 1,3-indandione, R2 is one selected from the group consisting of methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl, pentyl, cyclohexyl, and adamantyl, and R3 is an aromatic amine. |
