The invention relates to a basic fibroblastic growth factor (bFGF) with a specific collagen binding domain that is obtained by recombinant DNA technology, which includes a 10 amino acid fragment corresponding to the modified collagen binding factor of the von Willebrand factor (vWF). The new controlled release factor is used as therapeutic agent in the cicatrization of wounds and in other tissue repair processes.
