摘要 PURPOSE: To enhance light transmission efficiency without reducing light reflection efficiency. CONSTITUTION: Rays of light from a back light are emitted from the substrate of one side of respective substrates disposed to face oppositely across liquid crystal. Pixel areas are made of areas enclosed with gate signal lines arranged in an adjacent relation and drain signal lines arranged in an adjacent relation on the surface of the liquid crystal side of another substrate. A pixel electrode, to which a video signal is supplied from the drain signal line of one side via a thin film transistor which is actuated by the supply of a scanning signal from the gate signal line of another side, is formed in the pixel area. The pixel electrode is constituted of a reflecting conductive film and a transparent conductive film which are connected electrically with each other, and also a light reutilizing film is formed at the lower layer of the reflecting conductive film via the reflecting conductive film and an insulating film. The light reutilizing film is insulated electrically from the gate signal line or the drain signal line.
