PURPOSE: A piston valve for a shock absorber is provided to reduce a producing cost by conveniently processing a compressing passage and an extension passage. CONSTITUTION: A piston valve of a shock absorber comprises a protrusion unit(22) formed on an upper portion of a body(21) of a piston valve(20); a compressing passage(23) penetrating the body by being mounted on the protrusion unit; a single plate disk(14) opening or closing the compressing passage by contacting or separating from an upper portion of the protrusion unit; a groove(25) formed on a lower portion of the body; a multiple plate disk(15) opening or closing a tension passage(24) by being mounted on the groove; a cylinder shaped tube(2); a compressed chamber(4) containing fluid; and an extension chamber(3). Thereby, the piston of the shock absorber improves productivity by conveniently processing the compressing passage and the extension passage.
