PURPOSE: A device for supporting casing of hermetic type compressor is provided to prevent fine vibration due to a fine gap between a lower cap and a supportive plate in advance. CONSTITUTION: A joining protrusion(1a) is formed on a lower surface of a casing to protrude downward. An installation hole(11) is formed on a supportive plate(10) for the joining protrusion to be inserted to. A bent part(11a) is formed for an upper periphery of the installation hole to be closely attached to a side peripheral surface of the joining protrusion. An end surface of the bent part is welded on the side peripheral surface of the joining protrusion. The joining protrusion is formed to taper so that the side peripheral surface is slant. The bent part is formed to have a slant surface correspondingly with the slant surface of the joining protrusion.
