Extraction of a single or several active components without a use of preservatives, applies to extraction from fresh, dried or frozen plants. Plant matter comminuted to 1mm or larger size (fruits, berries, roots, flowers etc.) is subjected to an aq. pretreatment at an appropriate temp. Pretreated, comminuted plant matter is mixed into a 66 wt.% contg. fructose glucose or saccharose soln. that also contains tartaric or citric acid. The temp. of the mixt. is raised continuously to required temp. The mixt. is kept for no longer, than 8-15 mins. at this temp. Extractions proceed at 50-98 deg.C. temp. |
