The device has a locking element on a mounting plate with Bowden cable end attached to the locking element, locking levers with control curves that act upon cams on locking elements via associated actuation elements and locking element locking surfaces for locking with counter locking surfaces on associated locking levers after locking element pivoting by the Bowden cable. Locking levers are acted upon towards a locking positions by springs. The device has a first or second locking element (11) on a first or second mounting plate (7) with a first or second end (23) of a Bowden cable (17) attached to the first or second locking element, locking levers (9) with control curves (7) that act upon cams (29) on the locking elements via associated actuation elements (3) and locking element locking surfaces (31) for locking with counter locking surfaces (33) on associated locking levers after pivoting of the locking elements by the Bowden cable. The locking levers are each acted upon towards a locking position by a spring arrangement (41).
