Device for applying ink or another solution comprises a first roller (4), a second roller (2), and an elastic belt (6) running over the first and the second roller during operation. The first roller has a lower surface speed than the second roller. Independent claims are also included for a method for applying ink or another solution using the device, and for a printing machine, especially an offset printing machine, comprising the device. Preferred Features: The elastic belt does not slip on either roller. The elastic belt stretches on leaving the first roller and contracts on leaving the second roller.
