Method and system for multimedia telecommunication through satellites

The satellite communications system has non geostationary satellites (21,22) having interactive connections with subscriber terminals (24,25) each with a digital word transmission/reception chain which can exchange digital words with either satellite. The two chains operate alternatively, and broadcast collective information to all satellites on a carrier dedicated to the chain held in reserve for each terminal.
