To make up cut sections from rolled material, the roll is placed in an unwinding station to be fed to a cutter. The cut sections are separated, stacked and passed to further processing stages. The sections to be cut are marked on the material for best positioning, and to avoid material faults and take in the warp direction. The marked sections are cut and given identity markings using a computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) software program, activated by a computer to be operated through control units to give an automatic pattern cutting action. To make up cut sections, from rolled material, the sections are cut out wholly or partially from the unrolled material. Matching sections are stacked, and the edges are stabilized by hot pressing reinforcements and/or the like. An Independent claim is included for an assembly to make up cut patterned sections, from rolled materials, using CAD/CAM computer software programs to determine the operation of the control units. Preferred Features: The unwinding station matches the with of the cutter, and is placed at one end side of the cutting station for the material to be unrolled into the cutting zone. The material is carried into the cutter by a conveyor belt in controlled steps, where the length of a step is equal to the cutter working area. The system to mark the cut sections is at the cutter, with an automatic control to move longitudinally and laterally over the cutting zone. The marking unit and the cutter are activated independently of each other. The marking unit can be altered and exchanged, using a variety of printing heads and printing techniques. The computer contains CAD/CAM software programs, working with a database containing the data of customers' orders and the customer list management. It can implement new program functions to give the required cut pattern sections from the rolled material, in a wide variety of shapes, dimensions and quantities, and activate the marking unit to identify them.
