The invention concerns a system for the remote control of at least one action concerning a fixed or mobile object whereof the position is not necessarily known, using a receiver (10) operating in a frequency band reserved for cellular telephone and comprising a one-to-one identification code. The receiver (10) is linked to a means controlling said action. The invention is characterised in that the identification code is a telephone number accessible from any switched network telephone station, the reception of a simple ring signal serving to trigger the desired action.
