The method involves freely moving the rotor (15) along the rotation or central axis of a shaft end (12) to a journal (20) on a shaft holder (14) for the rotor, engaging the rotor with a guide opening (22) extending axially from an end face of the shaft end into the shaft (10) and final fitting until reaching a defined end position involving feeding the journal into the opening.
