PURPOSE: A system and a method for furnishing information about a secondhand vehicle by using a communication network are provided to offer reliability to secondhand vehicle transaction by accurately indicating the state and defective position of a secondhand vehicle and to make a buyer get a secondhand vehicle proper to a purpose and use by using the state and history of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of receiving connection information from a seller terminal(210), receiving information about a vehicle among designated plural vehicle classes from the seller(220,230), receiving the history information of a secondhand vehicle from the seller terminal(240), receiving defect information of the selected secondhand vehicle from the seller terminal(250), generating secondhand vehicle information by using vehicle class selection information and history information from the seller terminal, and transmitting the generated secondhand vehicle information to a buyer terminal.
