PURPOSE: An apparatus for testing strength and durability is provided to achieve improved convenience and workability by allowing the test vehicle to be movable in both vertical and horizontal directions, while minimizing possibility of injury to the worker. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a vehicle fixing unit(10) for fixing a test vehicle; a support unit(20) for supporting the vehicle fixing unit to be rotatable at a predetermined height; a hydraulic actuator unit(30) for applying load to the wire or rod connected to the hook of the test vehicle; a hydraulic pressure generating unit(40) for supplying hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic actuator unit; a first elevating unit(60) installed at the side of the vehicle fixing unit so as to elevate the test vehicle to the vehicle fixing unit; and a second elevating unit(70) installed at the vehicle fixing unit, and which elevates or lowers the test vehicle mounted onto the vehicle fixing unit.
