MANUFACTURING METHOD OF CONNECTOR FOR BOARD CONNECTION AND PLUG CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a connector for board connection which solves shielding problem and is free from cross talk. SOLUTION: A plug connector 10 mounted on one substrate K1 and a receptacle connector 20 mounted on the other substrate K2 are provided. The receptacle connector comprises a housing 22 for the plug connector to be inserted into and a plurality of pin terminals arrayed in the housing. The plug connector comprises a plurality of contacts 12 having a contact piece 11 for each pin terminal and a housing 13 holding each contact. A plurality of longitudinal shield plates 27 are fitted between each two pin terminals in the receptacle connector. A plurality of latitudinal shield plates 14 are provided in the plug connector crossing the longitudinal shield plates 27. Slits are provided for letting in the longitudinal shield plates in the housing of the plug connector and the latitudinal shield plates 14.
