PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of preventing an erroneous recognition based on a notified remaining capacity of a memory. SOLUTION: In spite of the fact that picture data to be additionally recorded is actually stored in an image memory 80, the remaining capacity of the memory for displaying including data amount of the picture data to be additionally recorded in the remaining capacity of the memory is displayed as a memory remaining capacity rate R on a display unit 70. More specifically, in spite of the fact that the actual remaining capacity rate of the memory 80 is '27[%]', 'communication possible, and remaining capacity is '96%'' is displayed. Thus, a FAX transmitter may not erroneously recognize that the remaining capacity is small and the FAX transmission is impossible by visually recognizing an awaiting screen of a FAX mode. Accordingly, the erroneous recognition based on the displayed remaining capacity rate can be prevented.
