PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize both slidability and preservable property of the liners disposed on the upper and lower parts of a magnetic disk medium and the drop reliability. SOLUTION: Welded area of the upper liner 5 to the upper shell 1 is made smaller than the other part at least on a cleaning part 7 of the upstream side with respect to the media rotating direction D of a window part 10 for inserting a magnetic head, the drop reliability is improved by enhancing the dust removability of the S1 surface and, at the same time, the slidability and preservable property of the liner is ensured.
