PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assembling property and rigidity and prevent deformation or displacement of a lightning arrest element in a lightning arrester which is formed by piling up lightning arrest elements among electrode metals and connecting the electrode metals on both ends with an insulation rod. SOLUTION: An insulation rod, connecting electrode metals on both ends, is divided into an insulation rod 8 for tightening and an insulation rod 9 for reinforcement. First, the insulation rod 8 is used to connect electrode metals 1a and 1b on both ends and lightning arrest elements are piled among the electrode metals. The insulation rod 8 is temporarily fixed to the electrode metals 1a and 1b, and the lightning arrest elements 6 are mutually pressed and the insulation rod 9 for reinforcement is fitted among the electrode metals. Next, the insulation rod 8 is fixed on the electrode metals 1a and 1b by press-fitting, and the outer circumference of the lightning arrest element 6, etc., is molded using resin. By fitting an insulation rod 9 for reinforcement, deformations during transportation or storage, or working can be prevented, and displacement of the lightning arrest element be also prevented.
