PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make automatically reproducible a DVD from the end position of preceding reproducing at the time when a DVD player having Internet functions is instructed to reproduce the DVD in the Internet connection state. SOLUTION: When Internet connecting operation is performed by a user, in the middle of DVD reproducing operation, DVD reproducing operation is terminated, and information of the last position of reproducing is held (ST14 to ST16). When DVD reproducing operation is performed in the Internet connection state, DVD reproducing operation is started from the last position of reproducing on the basis of held information of the last position of preceding reproducing after disconnection from the Internet. Thus the DVD is successively continuously reproduced without user's special operation even though DVD reproducing operation is interrupted by connection to the Internet or the like.
