PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic control system preventing traffic accidents by stably detecting traffic conditions for optimization of signal control, without being greatly affected by weather changes and ambient noises, and also issuing traffic alarms to vehicles. SOLUTION: A signal control part 101 of an interrogator 1 controls the interval between the flashing of red light by a signal S and that of blue light, based on vehicle information signals obtained by an on-vehicle radio part 41, so as to ease traffic jam and optimize traffic flow. Data obtained from an on-vehicle device 4 by the user of radio communication is used for the vehicle information signals. Based on an alarm signal produced by the interrogator 1, based on the vehicle information signals, an alarm output means of the non- vehicle device 4 outputs an alarm according to the contents of the alarm signal.
