PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design support server device for any board equipment which enables a design requester to input necessary equipment and components information through a communication network and automatically determine a box body wherein all equipment and components can be arranged after all necessary information is stored. SOLUTION: This system is equipped with a component master database which stores component information needed to design a board, a board type determination master database which stores basic information on the box body containing components, an input picture providing means which is for inputting design information from a terminal device, a design information database which stores the design information, a design information storage means, a designing means for designing the board equipment according to the design information, and a design result storage means. The designing means calculates possible arrangement conditions from the design information after the information needed to design is stored in the design information database, determines the kind of a box body meeting the conditions based on the board type determination master database, and arranges the necessary equipment and components on the determined box body.
