PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal, a storefront terminal, communication equipment, and a system and a method for article stock notification which can give notice of information on a desired article to a user when the user carrying the portable telephone approaches a store where the desired article is in stock. SOLUTION: Stocked article information is inputted to the storefront terminal device 70 and sent to a server 90, desired article information that the customer 4 inputs is sent from the portable telephone 40 to a server 90, and the stocked article information is matched to the desired article information; when both the pieces of article information match each other, an authentication code is sent to the portable telephone 40 and storefront terminal device 70. When the customer 4 approaches the storefront terminal device 70 during a walk, their communication devices start communicating through a short-distance radio communication means and the portable telephone 40 receives the authentication code from the storefront terminal device 70 and matches it to the authentication code received from the server 90, so that when both the authentication codes match to each other, received information on the article is reported to the user. |
