Block structure copolymers having a saccharide hydrophilic segment and a biodegradable segment of formula (I), the saccharide segment being attached at one of its extremities to a single segment (I) or be each of its two extremities to a segment of formula (I), the two hydrophobic segments being the same or different. Block structure copolymers having a saccharide hydrophilic segment and a biodegradable segment of formula (I), X = CN or CONHR; Y = COOR' or CONHR; n = undefined; and R, R' and R = H, 1-20C alkyl or alkoxy, amino acid, mono- or polyhydroxylated acid, or 5 - 12C aryl or heteroaryl. The saccharide segment being attached at one of its extremities to a single segment (I) or be each of its two extremities to a segment of formula (I), the two hydrophobic segments being the same or different. An Independent claim is also included for (1) cover particles of the block copolymers, especially those having a particle size between 1 nm and 1 mm, and such particles that further contain a pharmaceutical, agroalimentary, cosmetic or veterinary active ingredient; and (2) process of radical route polymerization of (II) with a poly- or oligo-saccharide.
