PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network management system, that automatically generates a management object so as to reduce the man-hours of maintenance personnel by having only to receive a system ID and an address of an opposite side network system, in the case of revising its own network system. SOLUTION: In the network management method where a network is managed by using a management object, a system ID of the network management system being a network management object is entered to a network management system, to which a maintenance terminal is connected. The opposite system receives the ID and returns its own address. Upon the receipt of the address, the system to which the maintenance terminal is connected transmits a management object production PDU(protocol data unit) to allow the opposite side system to generate the management object. The system to which the maintenance terminal is connected receives the management object generation PDU from the opposite system to generate the management object of the opposite system.
