PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily cope with the size and the shape of an article stored under supsended condition, smoothly transfer the article to a basket in front when it is sold, and restrain its cost increase in production. SOLUTION: This article-storing and delivering device 4, in which the article S is stored in an article passage 31 under suspended condition, and by which the article S located in the frontmost position is delivered frontward from the article passage 31, when sold is provided with the basket 111 moved in a front of the article passage 31 for receiving and carrying out the delivered article S when sold, and a chute 53 provided in the front end part in the bottom face of the passage 31 and having a chute plate 74 inclined forward downwardly, to make slide frontwards the article S to be deliverd from the article passage 31, and a chute adaptor 91 having a lateral size larger than that of the chute plate 74 and attached detachably to the chute plate 74.
