PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and quickly erase video information never reproduced in any play list from on a recording medium. SOLUTION: This information recording/reproducing device capable of recording video information on an optical disk, and reproducing the video information recorded on the optical disk according to a play list, is provided with an unnecessary section detecting means for detecting the unnecessary section of the video information never reproduced according to any play list (S14), and an unnecessary section erasing means for erasing the video information recorded on the optical disk corresponding to the unnecessary section (S15). |
